Does anyone know how I would go about becoming a mystery shopper for the likes of Mamas And Papas of any other large chain stores? I've looked on Mamas and papas website, but there is no mention of Mystery Shopper jobs?
I think you have to have worked within that industry for a certain amount of time, before you have been proven trustworthy enough of becoming one of their mystery shoppers.

I want to be a Mystery Shopper for retaurants. I have a weekly "date night" with my hubby and thought this would be good. I am not looking to make money off this and I definatley don't want to spend money trying to get in. Just maybe save a few bucks and I will be happy.
There are a variety of companies offering mystery shopping jobs on the Internet. I would be cautions because some of these firms are phony and will not pay you. There are some reputable firms out there such as: intelli-shop, epms (apartment shops), and iccds. You can also visit the mystery shopping provider's association at http://www.mysteryshop.org to learn more about what to watch out for. Typically, on restaurant shops the shopping company will require you to pay for the meal up front and you will get reimbursed once you submit the report to the company. There are also restrictions on what restaurants offer the shops and the locations. Keep in mind also that it can sometimes get competitive depending on the geography and where you live. You may get many people trying to apply for the same shop.

I already have a job but could use a little pocket money. I would like to be a Mystery Shopper so that I can make better time of my evenings and weekends, but I know that a lot of companies are scams. What are some real companies? I’m in Texas, by the way.
Go to www.mspa.org to learn all about it. do not pay anybody to be a mystery shopper. Realize all you make is about $10 an hour and there can be financial risk involved.
